Based on latest data, the number of individuals reaching 100 in the UK has doubled from 8,300 in 2004 to 16,600 in 2024.
From 2004 and 2024, the number of men aged 100 or over has grown by 200% from 910 to 3,100. Over the same timeframe, the number of women aged 100 or over almost doubled from 7,400 to 13,600.
We are keen to listen to individuals who have reached 100, their loved ones or close ones, about what it has been like to live through the past century’s major happenings and changes.
